EMS Residential Knox Box/ Premise Alert Program

EMS Knox Box

This program is designed for residents who have any type of condition which would prevent them from answering their door.

Residential Knox Boxes are secured key boxes designed to provide responding firefighters and paramedics immediate access to entry keys for a residence. In the event of an emergency, in which a resident cannot come to the door, the Knox Box system allows firefighters and paramedics to gain access to your home without having to wait for a key holder to arrive from another location or without forcing or breaking a door or window.

Premise Alert Program (PAP)

The Illinois Premise Alert Program is designed for residents who have any type of condition of which Emergency personnel would need to be aware.

This program provides for Public Safety Agencies in the State of Illinois to save pertinent information which can be used by police, fire and EMS personnel in the event of an emergency. The information is maintained at the Firehouse.

If an emergency event occurs, firefighters or paramedics are able to access the necessary medical information from their records, prior to arrival at the residence.
